WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Butternut squash
Dated, pitted and chopped
Almond butter
Almond or coconut flour
Nutmeg
Cinnamon
A milk of your choice
Dark chocolate
A blender or food processor
WHAT TO DO
Roast the butternut squash in the oven until it's soft
Blend the dates and milk we use almond) to make a thick paste, then add the almond butter, roast squash, nutmeg and cinnamon
Gradually add your flour until you get a dough-y texture (you need to be able to handle the mixture, so make sure it's thick enough)
Mould the mix into little balls, place them on a tray with some baking paper, and pop them in the freezer for an hour or so
Just before you take the dough balls from the freezer, melt your dark chocolate in a bowl over boiling water
Remove the dough balls from the freezer, and dip each into the melted chocolate, coating well it's a messy job, but using two spoons can help!
If you'd like to, you can top them with some crushed hazlenuts or another nut you enjoy). Pop into the fridgeto store and enjoy with a cuppa when you need a little pick-me-up!
